Winter elopements are extremely beautiful, but they can be daunting to plan! Have no fear, I’m here to tell you all my tips + tricks on how to elope in the winter!
LAYERS
Buy all the layers. You won’t regret it. Nude fleece-lined leggings are a must! They are warm and you won’t be able to see them under your dress! If you are wearing pants, get some good base layers. Merino wool is amazing.
Shawls, jackets, hats, mittens, etc are all necessary too! Make sure you love the way you feel in them.
Make sure you have good boots. Having numb feet is the quickest way to ruin the fun. Some of my favorite winter boots are:
STAYING WARM
Besides having good layers, you’ll also want to consider some other things to keep you cozy too. Hand + body warmers are amazing to put in gloves and pockets. They heat up quickly and last for hours.
Bring along a thermos of your favorite hot drink to share together! Not only is going to be great for warming up but it will also make for some awesome photos.
HAVE FUN
The best way to keep warm? MOVING! Let’s plan out some fun winter activities that you would love doing, but also keep your body moving + warm!
Examples include:
- Snowshoeing
- Sledding
- Sleigh rides
- Snowboarding/skiing
- Bonfires
- Ice skating
